As per the Diocese of Oakland, children who wish to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist must be enrolled in Faith Formation classes for two consecutive years.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) is for sacramental children in grades 3 – 9, who have not yet been baptized. |
Special Sacramental Preparation Program (SSP) is for sacramental children in grades 3 – 9, who have been baptized either Catholic or in another (Trinitarian) Christian faith. |
